@gravityfying Seriously, you were my biggest inspiration, i was so sad i almost cried
Oh no! Someone insulted me on the internet and I’m gonna cry… :(
First of all, discuss this with them in private before posting it, or just ignore and move on. Instead, you posted it just so you could be pitied by army of overly-sensitive softies and get them to hate him for having an opinion. If your solution to every problem is crying out for help, then a lot of hardship awaits you. Secondly, he has a point. Your pictures look eerily like his. How would you feel if someone copied your art and used it for something you disprove of? Not very good, given thst a few comments nearly caused you to break down. Did he go too far? Yes. Did you overreact? Yes. Is this thing stupid? Hell yeah, it is. Do I give a fuck? No.
@gravityfying was @thestarfan18 ‘s idol. If you saw a conversation with your idol shitting all over your work that was inspired by them, wouldn’t you be crushed too? or are you really that fucking heartless? did you just completely ignore that part? wouldn’t surprise me, it’s clear you can’t fucking read.
First of all, gravity’s coward ass had already BLOCKED her cos she’s a pathetic slimeball who thinks it’s okay to slander artists who are harmlessly enjoying their ship and then not let them defend themselves. starfan couldn’t confront her cos there was no way for her to do so without making some throwaway blog, that would have been blocked too. why the fuck wouldn’t she just go ahead and make a post if that’s how gravity wants to play the game?
She didn’t post it for pity - she posted it cos it turns out that gravity has before, slandered an artist for “copying” their style (newsfuckingflash, this art style is just like stvfoe, or are you saying no one but gravity can draw like the show’s style?). and when this happened, a hate mob descended on this innocent artist for merely drawing like the show’s style, driving them away for some time cos the hate was relentless and it was all completely unwarranted, happening all cos gravity is a jealous bitch over ppl’s AUs gaining traction of any sort. To prevent such a disgusting thing from happening again, this public discord chat that was sent to starfan was posted. gravity deserves to be exposed for the trash they really are and to be knocked down from their pedestal to be humbled. artists should be encouraging each other and giving constructive criticism, not making fun of them and saying they vomit from looking at it. it’s cruel, it’s not funny, it serves nothing but this asshole’s massive ego. gravity is 19 years old and needs to fucking start acting like it.
starfan didn’t overreact but you sure as fuck are for her merely bringing up the fact that she is heartbroken by someone she was inspired by to draw the stuff was in the first place.
If you don’t give a fuck, why are you commenting in the first place? if you truly did not care, you would have ignored this post. But you’re a starco shipper who has a clear bias and hatred of tomstar shippers for “having a perspective that doesn’t exist” despite the fact that it’s mostly starco shippers who take context out of the show incorrectly to suit their narrative lmfao. there aren’t nearly enough tomstar shippers that this same problem exists so it’s laughable you even get mad about such a thing and you decide to take out your stupidity on someone who doesn’t deserve it.
you hashtag #growup but you’re the one who needs to grow up cos you see things in such a wretchedly despicable way that I worry you lack the empathy and critical thought to make it in this world. for fucks sake you look down on people who are sensitive, and cry for help, that’s not exactly a mature perspective.
and this isn’t a rhetorical “how can they not like this perfect specimen” question, it’s a legitimate “i really like this character and I’m curious as to why some people don’t like her”
i mean, c’mon, look at her. she’s adorable.
im not sure if this is meant to be a reason to dislike her or just an observation, but i agree, they are definitely large
I’m sorry but it’s really annoying to see this keep happening on my dash. For those who don’t know,Pixiv is considering shutting down access to western users.
Why?
Because of edits and reposts onto social media sights, such as Tumblr, Facebook, even Twitter. The problem has been here for the past months and I really just get sad seeing everyone reblog edits and reposts of art that’sUNSOURCED.
I’m sorry if I seem bitchy, but this is a critical issue, because not only would this cut off fandom posters, it cuts off any person in the US from accessing Pixiv.
Pixiv artists are already deleting their works and accounts, more and more artists are deleting everything because of this. I have alreadymade a post about this on my main, and so havetwo ofmy friends. You may say we’re throwing a big deal about this, but the thing is- we’re just trying to make sure that us fans and future fans have the art resources.
Things to know:
ZEROCHAN AND WEHEARTIT ARE NOT SOURCES.
I REPEAT. ZEROCHAN AND WEHEARTIT ARE NOT SOURCES.
If you really absolutely don’t know, try the Google Images source thing.
If you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO REPOST THEIR WORK, ASK THEM FIRST! It won’t hurt you to be polite, and even if they don’t understand english they probably will understand what you’re saying.
I find this very relevant to this blog so I hope you’ll allow me to give another PSA.
I see this happen on my dash sometimes and I’m not gonna lie, I did consider unfollowing the people that reblog unsourced fanarts. Especially more so on those so-called one piece confessions/dirty op confessions whatever. It’s getting ridiculous.
However, it’s my belief that every one of you are wonderful people who respects others, especially those who have worked hard in drawing and writing all the wonderful doujins and fanarts. So I hope I can raise some more awareness to this.
As usual I’m going to illustrate it in an easy way. (read right to left)
What supposed to happen:
What you’re doing when you don’t source:
What you’re making the artist do:
Every artist grow by displaying their work and getting critique. But when their work is spread around without any credit to the artist, AND EVEN MAKES THE OWN ARTIST DELETE IT FROM HIS/HER SITE it lost the purpose and meaning.
What you should do from now on (if you haven’t been doing so):
